Dry Verge Installers Portrane
Dry verge installation delivers a permanently weathertight finish to the gable end of your tiled roof — no mortar to crack or crumble, no ongoing maintenance demands, no debris tumbling into your garden each winter. We fit dry verge systems throughout Portrane on retrofit projects, complete re-roofs and new-build properties.
Dry verge systems provide exceptional long term performance with zero maintenance requirements whilst enhancing the structural integrity and visual appeal of your roof in Portrane.
Alongside dry verge systems, we deliver a comprehensive range of roofline solutions, including gutter replacements, soffit and fascia upgrades and much more.
Two installation scenarios
Retrofit over failing mortar. This is our most frequent job. We strip away the cracked or loose mortar from the existing wet verge, thoroughly clean the tiles, then mechanically secure tile-matched dry verge caps along the entire gable. Completed within a day on most domestic properties.
New build or re-roof. Installed as standard during new roof construction, before the remaining work is sealed. Quicker than traditional mortar and provides the homeowner with an extended manufacturer warranty on the verge.
What is included
- Survey and tile matching, caps tailored to your specific roof tile profile and colour
- Removal of failing mortar (retrofit projects)
- Mechanical fixing to roof batten — rock solid in all weather conditions
- Ridge end caps where required for a completely sealed gable peak
- 10+ year manufacturer guarantee on the system
Colours and tile compatibility
Black, brown, grey and terracotta are kept in stock. Compatible with practically every concrete and clay tile commonly found throughout Ireland — including Marley, Redland, Sandtoft and similar profiles.

Excellent job done on entire house. Soffits and guttering. Would highly recommend. Very clean. No mess left behind.
John and the JP team were so professional, so nice and really did excellent work. Very impressed with the clean, thorough job they did. They are all so particular and kept saying "it's got to be done right" and keeping us updated on what was being done at each stage. Would highly recommend and have them back again.
I would like to thank John, Peter and Mark for their excellent work. They installed new gutters, fascia and soffits with great expertise. They were punctual and the quality of work was superb. They were extremely courteous and helpful, discussing any issues as they found them. The level of workmanship was exceptional. They cleaned up and took away all the old materials with them. The professionalism shown by this company was top class and I would highly recommend them for this type of work.
Great service from JP Guttering. Easy to deal with, will give you a clear and honest evaluation of the work to be done, and then provide a high quality and timely service. Highly recommend.
Really pleased with the work from JP Guttering. The team were friendly, professional and easy to deal with throughout. The job was completed to a very good standard, everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, and the new fascia and guttering look great. Would happily recommend JP Guttering to anyone looking to get similar work done.
JP Guttering highly recommended. I needed all gutters replaced at the back of my house. I was recommended to call John. He was very good to deal with, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He came when he promised and the team did a really good job for a fair price. I called him recently about a job I needed done for me and my neighbour. He came this morning and fixed the issue. Again very high standard of customer care.
Contacted John on Thursday to replace sagging back gutter… job completed to a high standard on Saturday. Very easy to deal with, punctual, professional and took the time to explain everything in detail. The guys also fixed a few minor problems with other gutters at no extra cost.
I can highly recommend John and his team.
Many thanks.
John and Peter were great to deal with from start to finish and I would have no hesitation recommending JP Guttering as I was really impressed with their work (new gutters, upvc fascia and soffit), efficiency and value for money.
Highly recommend. Great work John Peter and team. New gutters fascia soffits drain pipes and some new roof felt. Happy with service and knowledge and high quality work
I was in need of urgent repair as I had rain water running down the front of my house. John managed to squeeze me and his team showed up exactly when he said they would (not many companies are that dependable). They quickly identified the issue and committed to getting the materials and fixing my problem before it worsened. Thanks to John and team, very impressive service. I can see why there are so many positive reviews.
